Raj Mandir Cinema
You can’t skip out on Bollywood when you’re in India, so this should be one of your stops. The art-deco structure first opened in 1976.

Chand Baori Stepwell
Yup, it’s a water tank. But don’t let that description fool you. This structure is more impressive and massive than a lot of tanks you’ve seen.
At 1,200 years old, it is well-maintained and awe-inspiring. It is 30 meters deep all in all. But what makes it special are the stairways, all 3,500 steps in it. They create a maze around the structure, it’s easy to get lost in the middle of it.
Ranakpur Jain Temple
If you want to know what “quiet” feels like, this is the perfect place. The temple dates back to the 15th century and is set in the middle of the forest. It is made of over 1,400 pillar, all intricately carved.
You can get a regular guide, but they are not allowed to go inside the temple. Because of this, make sure you get an audio guide as well.
Medieval City of Orchha
If you really want to enjoy this place, spend a few nights. Wake up early. Just before all other tourists arrive, you’ll have the entire city to yourself.
The best way to explore the place is to rent a bike. There are paths connecting the different temples together – follow them.
